Research looking at acupuncture helping with itching from kidney disease (refractory uraemic pruritus)

In this small research study they looked using 1 acupuncture point (Quchi Li 11) to treat refractory uraemic pruritis. RUP is skin itchiness that happens in late stage kindey disease. Traditional allopathic therapies are have none or very little effect. Interestingly there were no difference in lab results in the 2 groups , however the Li 11 acupuncture group had significantly less itching at the 3 month mark. Link to Research
