Research on non-toxic and effective way to treat head lice!

Kid getting his hair combed for head lice.

When our own kids where in the head lice stage at school we looked of an alternative to the harsh over-the-counter drug store insecticide based head lice treatments. I’m going by memory here but I believe their effectiveness was shockingly low around 40 % kill rate. I looked on , then Pubmed, to see if there was any research of a more effective natural treatment. Voila! We found this research , tried it and it worked; not to mention it was easier to do , not more expensive , and didn’t feel like it was burning our kids scalp! You’ll have to follow the link but it’s a combo of tea tree oil , lavender oil and shampoo!
