Basil oil versus NSAID (diclofenac) gel for knee osteoarthritis.

In this research they compared basil oil , used traditionally for healing in Persia, to an NSAID gel , Diclofenac) for treating knee osteoarthritis. They used a few different measures including pain, flex angle and the WOMAC scale and found no difference in the NSAID and basil oil groups, thus that the basil oil worked just as well as the NSAID gel.
